Meet Dot the Spot

Dot the spot image

See this dot,

This dot, this spot.

Sad dot

Sometimes I’m lonely,

Lots of dots

and sometimes not.

Sometimes, I’ll play,

And with my friends, today,

the letter i

I’ll sit up high

on the letter i.

I may be small
But that’s not all
That I can do
Let me show you.

I complete the i
As I have said

Lower-case-alphabet-letter-j-template-for-kids-crafts

See me at j,

the letter z

but not at z.

Asking questions

I help to end
your sentences.
Without my help
they lose their senses.

semicolon

When you want
to use a phrase,
I help the comma
on those days.

the question mark

Ask a question
And I am there
Like “How are you?”
And “When?” and “Where?”

colon

When making lists
There are two of me
I’m called a colon then,
Not “he” or “she”.

the exclamation mark

I show surprise
With the exclamation sign,
In: “Why thank you, Miles!”
And “I am fine!”

polka dot dress

So Dot the Spot
is my name,
and helping you
is my game.
